About Us

Sabrina’s Dance Academy started on West 4th street in an upstairs studio with 80+ students. We moved to our current location in 2002, on Main Street which through time we are now outgrowing.

Our school mission is “to provide students of all ages with the skills they need to enjoy movement and music for a lifetime.” We want all of our students to come away from lessons with a never ceasing love. We choose not to sell or rent equipment or supplies for retail, so that there is no conflict of interest in us pushing students to purchase things. Our entire focus is on teaching.

We provide top quality instruction and can teach beginners through to advanced students. We do realize that most students will not pursue a career in dance and want to provide students of all interests with programs that meet their needs. Students of all abilities and interests are encouraged to learn new skills and improve. Each year, we expand our programs and continually improve our facilities. Due to our new programs we offer, we are now going by, Ottawa Performing Arts because we not just a dance studio anymore.

Our dance teachers are all experienced in the style they teach and we don’t use any student teachers. Several of our dance teachers also hold university degrees in dance, music, and or education . Our teachers are chosen not only for their qualifications, but for their ability to relate to the students. We teach everyone from beginners to very advanced level students.

Why choose Ottawa Performing Arts?

-All of our instructors are specialized in the areas they teach, with many hours of performance time. Most are university trained and is required for our vocal instructors.

-All day desk staff available for answering questions and concerns. This is so our instructors can focus on the students and teaching only.

-We order and alter all costumes. Recital fee is already included in tuition so that family and friends do not have to purchase tickets.

-Never pay a late fee again! Payments can be made by automatic withdrawal from a checking, savings, or credit card account. Or paid in a semester or year amount.

-Class sizes are limited to no more than 8 for the preschool age and 12 for grade school and up. Some are even cut off at 10. We will never go over.

-We have a wide variety of programs to choose from. Dance, tumbling, cheer, musical theatre, voice, and Zumba (fitness for adults).

Nutcracker Ballet

The production of the Nutcracker from December 2007 was a huge success! We plan on doing it again for December 2009. Sign up for one of our ballet classes and start getting into shape for a part of our cast!
